SwithBack Ranch Border Collies
Our puppies are born and raised in our house, with daily interaction with us and eventually our other 'indoor dogs'. They will have exposure to our goats and sheep before they go to their forever homes at 2 months old.
Pups come with vet checks, first vaccinations, and microchips. Your puppy will also come with a 30 day insurance policy with Trupanion and a Puppy Pack to ease them into their new homes.
Cost of Full Registration Border Collie Puppy is $1500 CDN **.
Cost of Limited Registration Border Collie Puppy is $1200.00 CDN.
A $300.00 CDN deposit is necessary to hold a puppy. Full payment is due at time of pick-up or before transport.
As the puppies personalities begin to appear, decisions regarding individual placements will be made based on the needs of their future home/environment. We follow "Puppy Culture" methods, our pups are handled from birth and taught basic leash manners, and how to sit. We also crate train our puppies before they go to their new homes (earliest 8 weeks old)
As we cannot predict the number of puppies in a litter, we may not be able to fill all requests. If so, your deposit will be refunded or put towards the next litter.
All our puppies are eligible for registration with the Canadian Border Collie Associate (CBCA). Included in the total fee per pup is deworming, first vet check, vaccinations and microchip, and 30 days of health insurance with Trupanion.
Please see below for our Puppy Agreement.
We believe in having our Border Collies Embard Tested - for all genetic diseases common in Border Collies. Our dogs are also PennHip or OFA Hip/Elbow certified.
**Any dog purchased with Full Breeding Rights MUST provide a copy of their pups PennHip or OFA Hip results before they are bred**
Please contact us for test score results.
Pick Up and Transport Options
New owners are encouraged to visit our farm prior to, or at pick up of their puppy and meet Mom and Dad! If this is not possible, we offer virtual meeting via Facetime and we are able to ship puppies via air most places in NA.
The new owner is responsible for the cost of a kennel and airfare if the pups are flown. We will work with you to ensure the best airline for transport. Flights (or long distance ground transport) costs may include vet certificates of health, kennel fees, wellness checks, etc. as determined by airline policies, time of year, or third-party transporters.
Our pups go to their new homes anytime after 8 weeks. Please bear in mind that pups travelling to the USA must have their Rabies vaccination, and possibly wait until 4 weeks after their Rabies vaccination to travel, which will make them about 3 months old.
