We acquired Sage from Whispering Aspen Ridge Maremma's in Saskatchewan. Born and raised with livestock, Sage is very affectionate with her humans, and is always the first at the gate to greet you! A serious guardian, she is exceptionally gentle with all of her charges, big and small. She is particularity good with our feathered friends, and has been poultry safe with very little guidance.
Sage is a good size for a female Maremma, weighing about 90 pounds - although she is still growing! We expect her to reach approximately 100 pounds at maturity. Sage's nurturing, sweet personality makes her a favorite of everyone who meets her!

Handsome Cayenne is from Mountain Mist Maremma's, located in Swan Lake, Manitoba. He works diligently protecting his livestock, and has worked with goats, sheep and chickens .
Cayenne is a loveable goof with his people and the house and herding dogs, but he's a force to be reckoned with if he feels his charges are threatened.
He's a beautiful, strong boy and we are looking forward to see how he continues to mature into his role.

Piper is 100% dedicated to her livestock. A slighter build than our other females, she is tall and lean. She can cover incredible amounts of pasture quickly when in pursuit of a threat, she is really quite amazing to watch!
Despite her smaller size, she is one of our fiercest protectors and has no fear when it comes to chasing off coyotes or bears. Piper is already showing great promise as a working Livestock Guardian and does very well with sheep and goats.

Prancing Pony Chive

Chive comes to us from Prancing Pony Farm in California. This gorgeous boy is a natural with the sheep and goats and LOVES his people too.
He is a large male weighing about 120 pounds. Chive is still maturing into the dog he will become but we are very happy with his progress. Known affectionally as "Uncle Chive", he is our puppy whisperer and is so gentle and kind his young charges.
He is Ayla's working partner and is teaching her the ropes already.

Born April 2023 Registered UKC Sire - Evergreen Brenno Dam - Evergreen Sophia We kept Ayla as part of our breeding program (once her PennHip is completed), and she is showing great promise as a guardian. She inherited her mom's curly coat and smile and her dad's size. Ayla dam and sire were both imported from Italy and are of Champion Bloodlines. Ayla has the Cafiero bloodline - he is her great grandfather. Cafiero is one of the most well known Maremma’s in history. He was judged as “the most beautiful dog in the world”. Cafiero is an Italian champion, International champion, Polish champion, European champion, and Mondial champion. Ayla already has a great guarding instinct and is already trustworthy with the livestock. We can't wait to see how she matures. |
